Mr. Pradeep Thapliyal has been associated with Reliance Nippon Life Insurance for over 4 years. In his role as the Head of Actuarial function and Appointed Actuary, he is responsible for Actuarial Valuations, Business planning & Shareholder Reporting, Product Pricing and Financial Risk.
Pradeep has over 30years of professional experience in the actuarial domain. Prior to joining Reliance Nippon Life Insurance, Pradeep was VP & Actuary at domestic Life Insurance business of Prudential Financial Inc, Newark, USA where his key role included experience studies and setting actuarial assumptions related to mortality, policyholder behavior, investment and expense, credit rate setting and providing hedging related information for index linked products. In his earlier stints, he has led multiple roles in the actuarial function at leading insurance companies such as Pramerica Life Insurance Company, Aviva Life Insurance Company Ltd., Max Life Insurance Company Ltd., Life Insurance Corporation of India Ltd.
Pradeep is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of India (FIAI) with a specialization in Life Insurance. He has completed his M. Sc. in Mathematics from Garhwal University.
